Your Newbury 2 Light Polished Brass IP44 Pendant Light is an exterior fitting and must be installed by a qualified electrician. Outdoor electrical work is subject to strict safety standards across all territories we supply to, and requires both specialist knowledge and the correct materials.
Ensure the fitting is correctly mounted and fully sealed against the wall or surface — even high IP-rated fittings can suffer if water tracks behind the backplate through a poor mounting seal. Your electrician should use an appropriate outdoor-rated sealant where the backplate meets the wall surface.
Any external cabling should be rated for outdoor use, protected against UV degradation, and run through appropriate conduit or trunking where exposed. Your electrician will advise on the correct cable specification and safest routing for your installation.
