Your Kos II Matt White Square IP65 Bathroom Ceiling Downlight is a hardwired fitting and should always be installed by a qualified electrician. While the connection itself is relatively straightforward, working with mains voltage ceiling or wall wiring carries inherent risk — a competent tradesperson will ensure the job is completed safely and to the required standard in your country.
If your property has decorative cornicing, a ceiling rose, or an unusual ceiling profile, mention this to your electrician in advance — some fittings require an additional backplate or canopy adapter to sit flush and look correct. Also confirm the diameter of your existing ceiling rose against the fitting's backplate before installation day. All relevant dimensions are in the Technical Information section above.
This fitting carries an IP65 rating — fully dust tight and protected against water jets, suitable for wet room and bathroom use.
